She has led the effort to have Gregg Cutler, who condoned the mass killing of chickens in a woodchipper, removed from the AVMA's animal welfare committee.

, Professor of Bioethics at Princeton University, is the author of Animal Liberation, first published in 1975. He heads up Animal Rights International, founded by the late Henry Spira. That organization targets the AVMA for animal unfriendly practices.
